Wyclef Jean made an entire film for his new music video. The Fugues member recruited veteran actors Michael K. Williams and Tasha Smith to help him tell the story of his single “Hendrix.” The visual portrays a young man committing a robbery in order to get his girl some jewelry. But the victim of the chain snatching comes back with a vengeance, which leads to some dire consequences.

The video enhances Wyclef Jean’s tale of the choices people make when they are in a difficult situation. The song is inspired by Wyclef’s own experience as he watched others go down a dangerous path while he stuck with music.
