    Wyclef Jean has returned with a third installment of  The Carnival  series, which kicked off 20 years ago. The Fugees vet’s latest entry,  Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee , features 12 new tracks. D.L.     Wyclef Jean’s new album  Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee  is here via Legacy Recordings. This is his first album in eight years and falls on the 20th anniversary of his debut album  The Carnival . The former Fugees member released the first single off his new album “Fela Kuti” back in June, and the album follows his EP  The J’ouvert .     For his latest single, Wyclef Jean literally looked to the stars.  Producing  Borrowed Time , premiering exclusively on usatoday.com, the rapper used sounds recorded by the Juno spacecraft, which has been orbiting Jupiter since last year. It's part of a collaboration between NASA and Apple Music, which have partnered with a handful of artists including Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to provide sounds from Juno to incorporate into their music.  "I was interested to hear what was coming from Jupiter," says Jean, 47. "What I heard was a collage of vibrations that sounded to me like a piano. I heard low tones, mid-range, high tones — it almost sounded like a new patch of sonics that have not been revealed yet to the public." Read more: usatoday.com

    Wyclef Jean, the three-time Grammy-Award winning musician, producer and actor, will be the grand marshal of the "Apache Warrior 400 presented by Lucas Oil" Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 1, track officials announced today. Jean will give the command for 40 of NASCAR's top drivers to start their engines before the first elimination race of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
