  3. Subway performers take over Grand Central Terminal during pre-Grammy event
    The focus was on New York City’s underground talent Sunday hours before the hottest names in the music industry congregated at Madison Square Garden for the 60th anniversary of the Grammy Awards. An event held by streaming app Live.Me took several of the city’s subway performers off the platform to perform on a pop-up stage at a Grand Central Terminal event hosted by Wyclef Jean.     Haitian musician Wyclef Jean took the neon-lit outdoor stage near 12:30 a.m. for an extended set, providing a musical backdrop for Höller to show off his enthusiastic dance moves.     Across the bay, Prada was holding court in downtown Miami, where the German artist Carsten Höller had transformed a 1920s film studio complex into a temporary nightclub called “the Prada Double Club Miami.” Guests wandered between two contrasting areas, a room painted in Op Art black and white, with a rotating dance floor, and an outdoor area designed as a garish tropical spectacle with colored strobes and neon-illuminated palm trees. At around 1 a.m., Wyclef Jean appeared on stage playing amped-up hits to the pleasure of the V.I.P. area, where Miuccia Prada was packed in with Ricky Martin, Diplo, Rita Ora and Wendi Deng. Toward the back stood the artist Chloe Wise, in Prada silk pajamas, with the model Ruby Aldridge. Ms. Wise was exhibiting work for the first time at the fair, and had just turned 27 an hour before.     Wyclef Jean is the latest artist to join Live Nation Urban and TCG Entertainment's concert series, A Night of Symphonic Hip-Hop, which will feature the rapper hitting up multiple cities across the U.S. The performance series with  The Carnival  musician will kick off on Jan. 19, 2018, in Omaha, Neb., where he will join the Omaha Symphony onstage.  Read more: xxlmag.com
