    In October, Netflix announced an  Untitled Wyclef Jean  CG-animated feature film project. The movie will be inspired by the childhood experiences of the singer and co-founder of The Fugees. Justin Marks (The Jungle Book, Top Gun: Maverick) is writing the script, which will pull from Jean’s early years in Haiti before his family emigrated to Brooklyn when he was nine, and then to New Jersey, where his journey to musical stardom began.     Wyclef Jean 's life is getting animated. The former Fugees leader has teamed up with Netflix for a CG-animated feature film that will trace the rapper's childhood in Haiti and emigration to Brooklyn with his family at age nine. According to  Deadline , the show will be co-produced by Greg Silverman's  Stampede  content creation company and Jean, with a script from  Top Gun: Maverick  writer Justin Marks.     Wyclef Jean continues to make strides in arenas outside of rap. It was recently revealed he will co-produce a new animated Netflix movie about his childhood in Haiti. The Fugees co-founder is linking up with Greg Silverman’s upstart production company Stampede for the CG-animated show, according to  Deadline . Justin Marks will have the duty of penning the script.     Netflix has given the greenlight to a CG animated musical movie that will revolve around the life story of Fugees founding member Wyclef Jean. The project hails from Stampede, the production banner recently launched by former Warner Bros. Pictures executive Greg Silverman. Justin Marks (“The Jungle Book”) is on board to write the script.     Wyclef Jean  continues to prove why he is one of the more innovative musicians in hip-hop by venturing off the beaten path of biopics to partner with  Netflix  and create an animated musical about his youth.  According to  Deadline , Netflix has ordered the film from former Warner Bros.
