    Wyclef Jean deserves all his flowers! The Haitian recording artist exploded onto the scene as a member of legendary hip hop group  The Fugees , alongside  Lauryn Hill  and Pras Michael, and has created meaningful music with substance ever since. With three Grammy awards and a Golden Globe Award nomination under his belt, Jean is the definition of talent.   3. Wyclef Jean Calls To End Asian Hate In The New Song ‘Stop The Hatred’
    Wyclef Jean is using his voice to stand up against hatred toward the Asian-American community. In the new song “Stop the Hatred,” Jean teams up with rapper MC Jin, who is Chinese-American, for the powerful song that calls for unity between AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) and Black communities. Wyclef Jean said in a recent press release: “Racism and hate against underrepresented communities can only be fought with unity.     Wyclef Jean and MC Jin have reunited for a brand new collaboration, “Stop the Hatred.” The track comments on the solidarity between Black and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) allyship in the midst of the #StopAsianHateMovement. Its accompanying music video, directed by award-winning Vietnamese-American director Bao Nguyen, was created in partnership with The Asian American Foundation (TAAF). Shot in the heart of New York City’s Chinatown — where a majority of the anti-Asian crimes have been caught — the visual brings awareness to financial and educational resources available to AAPI families.     On March 21, just days after eight people, including six women of Asian descent, were killed in the Atlanta-area shootings, thousands gathered at Columbus Park in Manhattan for a rally against anti-Asian violence. Activists took turns addressing the surge in hate crimes and hate incidents toward the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, when an 8-year-old stepped onto the stage. “Stop the hatred!” Chance yelled into the mic. Chance, it turned out, was well-positioned to be a muse: the son of rap artist MC Jin, his three words would become the inspiration for—and the title of—his father’s latest track.     Wyclef Jean has released an Amazon Original cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” in honor of what would’ve been the reggae icon’s 76th birthday on Feb. 7.  “I chose ‘Is This Love’ because love is timeless and we must always remember love conquers hate,” the Fugees musician said in a statement.
