  1. Watch the Beachy Video For Wyclef Jean and Young Thug's New Song "I Swear"
Wyclef Jean reunites with Young Thug on their newest collaboration, "I Swear." The track is pretty much an instant heater with island-infused production and an airy hook that perfectly blends both artists' capabilities, and they reflect the same theme in the beachy music video. This is now the second time the two have linked, with the first coming on Thug's  Jeffery  project on the "Kanye West" track. Thugger named all of his album tracks after his idols that he admires. If you remember, the first track was named for Wyclef Jean so it's no surprise that the rapper would be down to work with Wyclef again.

After Wyclef Jean guested on “Kanye West” from Young Thug’s latest project  Jeffery , Thugger is repaying one of his idols with a guest feature of his own. The two artists collide again on a summery track called “I Swear,” a single from Wyclef’s upcoming  J'ouvert  EP. Unfortunately for nostalgics, the song doesn’t interpolate All-4-One’s 1994 classic of the same name. Instead, Young Thug and ‘Clef merge dancehall and electronic music aesthetics to make a pop song with tropical flavor—the kind of song you might hear at a beach wedding. Read more: genius.com

  10. Wyclef Jean Talks Haiti, His New Music, and the "Revolutionary" Young Thug
At a studio on New York’s Upper East Side, I’ve just met up with Wyclef Jean, ostensibly to talk about new music, but at the moment, Clef’s mind is 1,500 miles away, in his native land of Haiti—and understandably so. Only a day before, Hurricane Matthew had become the latest disaster to befall the Western Hemisphere’s most hard-luck nation, striking Haiti’s isolated southern peninsula, leaving tens of thousands homeless and claiming hundreds of lives.  Wyclef has been one of Haiti's most visible ambassadors in the past two decades. He’s repeatedly drawn on his Haitian roots in his music; he organized a hugely successful telethon in response to the nation’s devastating 2010 earthquake; and he even fielded a short-lived run for president of the country, until his candidacy was ruled ineligible.
