Fiat USA has recently kickstarted the promo campaign for the 2017 124 Spider with an ad named “Free Like a Bird,” which features the music of Wyclef Jean and involves the MX-5 based roadster and an eagle. If you look at the spot you’ll see the eagle has followed the Mazda MX-5 with Italian badges and when the 124 Spider comes to a halt the eagle lands on the trunk as the speaker recites “We all want to be as free as the birds but maybe the birds want to be as free as us.” The eagle is then taken for a spin and the final take is that a 124 Spider is “more fun than flying.” This is clevere marketing rouse, as anyone who has ever flown – all by itself, not in a commercial bus from Boeing or Airbus – knows not even the hottest supercar can compare with the freedom brought by flight. Anyways, the promotional video is also assisted by a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the ad and a 360° experience which allows viewers to feel how a “bird’s-eye view of the 124 Spider driving down the southern coast of Italy” actually looks like. The Fiat 124 Spider is reaching dealerships soon in time for summer drop top drives and has under the hood a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine sporting 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. It has been mated to a standard six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic gearbox. Performance –oriented drivers might want to hold on to their cash for the upcoming 124 Spider Elaborazione Abarth which brings a customized front end, tuned suspension and a limited slip rear differential. Wyclef Jean has made a triumphant return to the music scene with "My Girl" featuringSasha Mari, a delightful blend of Wyclef's recognizable voice with newcomer Sasha Mari's silky tone over a bright dancehall-inspired beat. "This song takes me back to my Caribbean Roots," Wyclef says. "This is what a Carnival feels like." "My Girl" is Wyclef's first single since "Divine Sorrow," his 2014 collaboration with Avicii. Wyclef's upcoming album,Carnival III, is slated for a release in the later half of this year. In this Billboard exclusive video from Wyclef himself, he asks us all to "find our queen[s]" and get up to his new single. "When ['My Girl'] plays, if you're sitting down, you have a problem," says Wyclef. The music video for "My Girl" was filmed over a two day period at a Wyclef concert and in Flatbush, Brooklyn, near Wyclef's childhood stomping grounds. Wyclef worked with director Eif Rivera to create an authentic storyline video, featuring adorable child doppelgangers and tight choreography. Via: Billboard

Grammy winning artist Wyclef Jean brought the house down Tuesday night during his second performance at the Brooklyn Bowl. His DJ bumped the beats as Wyclef freestyled his way onto the stage mic in hand rhyming about Brooklyn, Haiti, politics and music…and even gave a shout out to the girl with the camera in the front row (that would be me!) He wowed the crowd with eccentric dance moves, multiple costume changes, instrument maneuvers, and guitar rifts with his teeth. The Bowl was energized from the moment Wyclef set foot on the stage. Cell phone cameras were in the air the entire night and fans were dancing in the bowling lanes as he weaved his way through tracks like “911” and “Hips Don’t Lie.” During his new single “My Girl” with Sasha Mari, over 100 multi-colored flashing foam glow sticks were thrown into the crowd and fans from the front row were pulled onto the stage to dance with Clef and his backup dancers from Studio L Dance Co. A fan favorite, “Killing Me Softly” was performed by Canadian jazz, pop, and soul singer Nikki Yanofsky, whose big voice filled the room over the sound of the crowd belting out of the lyrics with her. Another special moment of the evening came when Wyclef welcomed his sister Melky onto the stage to perform a super soulful version of Leela James’ song “A Change is Gonna Come.” SEE MORE AT NYSMUSIC.COM
